Zhero returns today with “P.S. I Love You,” a new visual that is at once beautiful, simplistic and artistically inspiring. Recorded on an iPhone and edited at an airport, the release stands as a testament to using – and making the most out of – what you’ve got. While access to the fanciest of technology is nice, we live in an age where HD cameras and mini computers rest soundly within the confines of our pockets. As such, the ability to create visual and sonic art arises quite literally anytime and anywhere. Zhero and Matthew Cyr exemplify this creative evolution of the times wondrously with “P.S. I Love You.”
Over Cyr’s light and dreamy instrumentation, Zhero serenely delivers his emotive prose. Like a soft breeze, the vocals dance between the past, present and future as Zhero reflects on a love that has since dissipated from his life. The song, although thematically sad in regards to context, feels like one of heartbroken acceptance, as if Zhero subtly expected or is used to the let down.
