Last time we saw Ryan Caraveo, he was soaking in his loneliness on a beach. With the highly cinematic “Murda,” the enigmatic artist finds himself succumbing to the seductive tease turned progressively treacherous torture of a vengeful female. As the visual rolls on, viewers witness the severity of the violence quickly escalate, providing a wondrous representation of the relationship-based emotional abuse that serves as the new singles muse.
Teal Douville laces “Murda” with a provocative sonic foundation, allowing Caraveo to kick his characteristically smooth and noticeably impassioned delivery. The track takes listeners on a journey through the highs and lows – well, really just the lows – of a fucked up relationship that’s abundant in poor communication, games (not the fun ones), lies, ego and pretty much everything except love and compassion.
“Murda” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
