Man, I don’t even know where to begin with this one.

LA-based PAC comes through with the enthralling visual experience that is “Help Me, Help U.” Carrying heavy nostalgic energy that appears to tip the cap to the likes of Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot and a handful of other torchbearers, the joint is sure to bring you back in time while still keeping its foundation planted firmly in the here and now. And then to add a whole ‘nother dimension to the record, PAC makes it a point to cast his dreams and goals out into the Universe as he works towards manifesting his vision and purpose here in the physical.

“Help Me, Help U” is a raucous piece of art, dancing between powerful insight and a knocking sonic landscape. Keeping it a buck, the first time I listened, I was so caught up in the energy of the track that I straight up missed out entirely on the depth of PAC’s prose. When I ran it back to get a deeper feel for the song, I was able to listen more mindfully and catch the inspiring game PAC kicks throughout “Help Me, Help U.” It becomes quite evident just how in line the mental, emotional and spiritual bodies of PAC are – it’s free flowing streams of consciousness, gifting gems of wisdom to the audience. But it hits like a banger from times of past, as Reminisce The Artist laces the joint with some throwback instrumentation. You’ll feel your head bopping along heavily while PAC jumps across the track with his fiery delivery, penetrating your mind with thought-provoking perception.

The rapid pace of the visual experience juxtaposes beautifully with the flow PAC brings to “Help Me, Help U.” There is so much going on in the short-film of a music video, all of it coming together to help bring to life a compelling story of love, support and sacrificing the norms to chase dreams.
