Listen Now: Michael Christmas - Credit (feat. Saint Lyor) [prod. Keith Demick]

After liberating two records earlier this month, Michael Christmas is back to keep the quarantine tunes rolling. This time around, Christmas joins forces with Saint Lyor to mob all over Keith Demick’s instrumentation.

“Credit” feels like sophisticated ignorance as both Michael and Saint Lyor deliver their rambunctious verses with rapid, fiery flows. Once the quick intro ad-libs play, Christmas comes in with lyrical guns blazing, quickly filling “Credit” with obnoxiously appealing prose. Without missing a beat, Lyor enters the track and begins to pick up exactly where Christmas left off – it’s fun, it’s in-your-face and it’s unapologetically abrasive. The art of not giving a fuck never sounded so sweet.

Both emcees compliment each other well on “Credit” as they coexist with Demick’s enigmatic bop lacing the soundscape. At times, the production feels barely there and “Credit” emerges as a multidimensional listening experience thanks to the ongoing rise and fall of the sonic backdrops volume.

“Credit” is available now on all your favorite streaming platforms.
