Sorry, CT. I have a lot of respect for a lot of you out there, but ain’t no body nicer with the penmanship than Justin Lifshitz. It’s levels to his prose and you’ll feel the spirit of the man behind the music radiating out from the goosebump inducing bars.
Throwing his hat in the ring for the “Holy One Challenge,” Lifshitz rolls through the Chill Shump-produced record lowkey delivering Rock Bottoms and Stone Cold Stunners to anyone else who decided to enter the rumble. With a cool, calm and collected flow, the CT-based emcee laces the track with intricate storytelling, filling the soundscape with a raw and authentic delivery. There’s depth to this one, coupling with an essence of patience that highlights the calculated, chess-like movements that make up the life, times and music of Justin Lifshitz.
It’s quick, sharp and purposeful – no wasted space, no wasted breath. Just poignant words that come together to reveal yet another glimpse into the young God.
Mixed and mastered by Wes Ryan.
