Listen Now: F. Virtue - F. Virtue's Bootleg Luna Lovebad Lit Up Remix

We last heard from F. Virtue with the release of his chilling “The Darkness” visual experience at the start of the year. While that record will find life on Virtue’s forthcoming Millennial Love During WWIII, the NY-based artist fills the space between album cuts with his very own remixed version of Luna Lovebad’s “Lit Up.”

Like “The Darkness”, Virtue’s rendition of “Lit Up” features co-production from Skinny Atlas, the two turning Luna’s OG track into a vibed up commentary on the trust and commitment of relationships. Blanketed soundly beneath and between uptempo and high energy instrumentation, F. Virtue delivers his prose with impassioned conviction as Lovebad’s altered vocals are moved, rather seductively, to the background. And there’s certainly plenty of uptempo and atmospheric production utilized to fill the space between Virtue’s verses, resulting in a simultaneously fun and substance-heavy loosie that’ll leave you wanting to make your way to the club while your mind is racing with thoughts of love, trust and all those fun talking points.

The “Bootleg Luna Lovebad Lit Up Remix” ends with what sounds less like your typical rap verse and more like a mantra or chant. Of course, F. Virtue has seldom made music that was easily placed within the confines of a single box, so it only makes sense the outlandish contrast featured throughout the song never seems to clash.
