For the third week in a row, Chris Webby comes through with a brand new #WebbyWednesday, this time calling on a fellow CT-bred emcee as ANoyd joins Webby on “Pipe Down.” In between the uniquely choppy chorus, which manages to fit perfectly despite the glitching essence of Webby’s vocals, the two artists make this rap thing seem effortless as they mess around and lace the JP On Da Track-produced joint with their respective verses.
Kicking the record off with a slow pace, Webby delivers his bars with precision before kicking things up a few notches as he flips his flow. The seamless transition between deliveries works to highlight Webby’s ability when he enters the booth, smoothly alternating from one flow to the next. And ANoyd showcases why – and how – he’s been able to catch a buzz outside the borders of CT, providing “Pipe Down” with a fiery assist. Between Chris Webby and ANoyd, “Pipe Down” is chalk full of clever punchlines and head spinning wordplay, all of which hits hard and with a purpose.
JP On Da Track and Nox Beatz team up on the songs instrumentation, cooking up fun production that balances video game energy with sunshine and summertime vibes. The beat helps the track keep a chill demeanor while still allowing it to rise to the appropriate level of certified bop.
“Pipe Down” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
