It’s something like a modern love song on “Dearly Beloved,” as Slug is joined by Musab and Muja Messiah for the latest Whenever joint to receive the visual experience. Of course, that love is mixed with a fine dosage of lust, resulting in a wild ride over Ant’s intricate instrumentation.
Featuring three unique deliveries and personalized energies, somehow seamlessly forged together in a smooth fidelity, “Dearly Beloved” is filled to the brim with 80’s vibes and Prince references. Each artist takes proper hold of their space on the track, telling stories through their clever penmanship – if it wasn’t for the aesthetically stimulating visual, one could easily close their eyes and picture the scenes being painted by Slug, Musab and Muja.
Of course, we do find ourselves on the receiving end of a wildly captivating short film-esque visual treatment, brought to life courtesy of BLOOD $MOKE BODY. Beneath the trippy edits and slick psychedelic vibes, viewers witness a snowy limo ride that leads to an uninhibited party full of white powders and animal masks. There’s a lot going on here and, somehow, it all works so well to capture the energy that envelopes “Dearly Beloved.”
Whenever is available now on all your favorite streaming platforms. And some of you out there still have a handful of chances left to catch Atmosphere live before they wrap up their Wherever Tour.
